WHew!

the baby shower has come and gone! now I am taking a little breather! everything went so well! I will post some pictures when i get them. my house was in tip top shape, the food was fantastic, and the desserts were gorgeous! We had 36 people here! and my house seems to be plenty of space, well at least when it's just me n Nora here, but then you add up to 30 adults, and the space just disappears. The weather was perfect so we got to open up our lovely french doors to the back yard so that definitely helped out. i spent all my energy on the shower, and then last night nora didn't want to sleep very long, at 5 am she woke up and stayed awake until just now. And i need to leave for work at 3:30. but it's all good cause I go up to see hector on wednesday!

I will be missing Jillian's last baby shower, and i feel pretty bad about that, but I really wanna see my hubby love. ANd then him and i are driving back down to GA together, which is always fun! And after Easter we are flying to Ohio to see his family (he has 10 days of leave). I am very excited about going to Ohio cause I'm not such a fatty now, still got some work to do, not necessarily on the weight issue, more about toning up. My legs just aren't the same as they were when I played volleyball, but I guess I shouldn't really expect them to be considering how much time I used to spend working out and playing. Plus Hector's family hasn't seen Nora since New Years, so she is gonna be getting some lovin! (like always)

Ok well I have to go put some clean sheets on my bed and do some straightening up. I have figured out that it is better to keep everything picked up all week long rather than just doing one big clean sweep at the end of the week. It just gets very over whelming!

So hector is home, for good! Nora is kinda sicks :( I think it is just a cold with a sore throat. but that sore throat makes her not want to eat, so then being hungry make her not want to sleep, so it the sore throat causes large problems. oh well. 30 min after giving her infant tylenol her throat feels better and she can at least eat a bottle. so I just took a break from my blog and went to put nora down for a nap. ends up.. she doesn't like to be swaddled anymore!! I put her down swaddled and she cried and didn't want to go to sleep, so after about 3 min of that (normally she goes to sleep about 15 seconds after me putting her down) i just un-swaddled her and she went right to sleep!! soo great!! Anyway, I have been getting ready for Jillian's shower that will take place at my house in the 28th! That's 12 days!! and a lot of those days are already taken up by other showers and husband stuff. today is lunch with mallie, thursday is post-op appointment, then after that I am either driving or flying up to north carolina for a birthday party on saturday. then flying or driving back saturday afternoon. Painting my powder room sunday morning, then baby shower sunday afternoon. wow that's a pretty packed schedule. but then I have the rest of the week to do things for the shower. no sweat, nothing a perfect housewife can't handle. (I like to think of myself as the perfect housewife, even if it's not true I like to pay myself a little complement every once in a while lol) Well I'll write soon, maybe!

This is nora at one of Jillian's many baby showers!

Long time no write!

so if you read my blog, I'm sure you read my sister's blog as well. She is way more up to date than I am! but in a little recap Hector has been deployed to haiti, originally gone for no more than 30 days. Then we hear that it is going to be 6 months. Then about a week ago we hear that they are coming home Feb 27. So Nora and I have been living down in GA, in our amazing house!! SO we pack things up and drive to NC, awaiting the arrival of our lovely butt (he surely has a lovely butt!!!) Well saturday morning we find out that they aren't coming home, I mean really?? come on!! So we drive back to GA sunday morning. Completely bummed out.
Well this morning we got another E-mail saying that they are for real going to be home hopefully by friday, but definitely by sunday!! I realllllly hope it is true!! Friday morning we are taking the trip again, hoping to be more successful! This time I am just staying with Jeanna so I won't waist any money on a hotel room, until Hector is here for sure. Staying with Jeanna will be way easier than staying with someone else cause she already has all the baby stuff in her house so i wont need to set up camp there.

Nora updates: Nora is 14 lbs 11 oz. she will be 5 months old on friday. she is now eating 4 bottles of 6 oz a day, maybe 5 if she wakes up early. She sleeps from about 9:30 pm to 8:00 am, at least that is what we shoot for. she only sleeps in her own crib, upstairs; even for naps. She really loves to be on her tummy and watch "your baby can read". I feel like she will be crawling any time now! Oh and she is in size 2 diapers now, holy crap she is growing so fast.
